Platform-independent utility functions for dealing with file system paths and URLs.

The functions in this module are designed to be generic and work in any runtime, whether server-side or browsers. They can be used for both system paths and URLs.

sep

Platform-specific path segment separator. The value is \ in Windows server-side environments, and / elsewhere.

Functions

f basename	Return the last portion of the given `path`. Trailing directory separators are ignored, and optional `suffix` is removed.
f contains	Checks if the `path` contains the given `sub` path.
f cwd	Returns the current working directory.
f dirname	Returns the parent path of the given `path`.
f endsWith	Checks if the `path` ends with the given `sub` path.
f equals	Checks if the `path1` and `path2` describe the same path.
f extname	Returns the extension of the `path` with leading period.
f isAbsolute	Checks if the given `path` is an absolute path.
f isFileUrl	Checks if the given string is a file URL, whether with or without `//`.
f isFsPath	Checks if the given `path` is a file system path.
f isPosixPath	Checks if the given `path` is a Posix specific path.
f isUrl	Checks if the given string is a URL, whether standard or non-standard.
f isWindowsPath	Checks if the given `path` is a Windows specific path.
f join	Concatenates all given `segments` into a well-formed path.
f normalize deprecated	This function is similar to Node.js implementation, but does not preserve trailing slashes.
f resolve	Resolves path `segments` into a well-formed path.
f sanitize	Similar to normalize, but also remove the search string and hash string if present.
f split	Splits the `path` into well-formed segments.
f startsWith	Checks if the `path` starts with the given `sub` path.
f toFileUrl	Converts the given path to a file URL if it's not one already.
f toFsPath	Converts the given URL to a file system path if it's not one already.
